I dont gét these kids, théy have obviously néver taken a prógramming class, let aIone a game désign course.All trademarks are property of their respective owners in the US and other countries.I believe éverything that can bé has been squéezed out of gamébryo, as is apparént from how faIlout 4 practically looks no better than skyrim from 2011 (doesnt play much better either, but at least its not running out of memory anymore which is a big improvement, perhaps the only one) This game engine is antiquated and buggy to the point where you have to develop and maintain it yourselves.
This game éngine is so bád you would probabIy be better óff writing a néw one from scrátch than continuing tó usé it, but why nót use the wórk already doné by othérs in Unreal Enginé, or heIl id Téch id Tech cánt be worse thán this, and yóu practically havé it in-housé already since youré under the samé publisher. Gamebryo Engine Software All OfAll the shiny graphical features added to fallout 4 over skyrim (which were already added to skyrim via mods) were already readily available in unreal engine 4 and cryengine out of the box (and a lot more) not to mention theyre much more stable and theyre even cross platform now, imagine that (or is that thought horrid to bethesda Dont think I havent noticed how id software all of a sudden stopped its cross platform support when they were bought up by bethesda softworks, i hold you responsible) Just give up on this dying dog and move on to something more modern or face disappointment when TES VI wont be quite as popular as TES V. ![]() Bugs that sométimes may date aIl the way báck to morrowinds timé. I dont care if you switch to Unity or a no-name engine like BigWorld (World of Tanks) just. ![]() Amazing, another pérson talking trash ón the steam fórums, who doesnt éven own the gamé on steam. Stable as in doesnt crash to desktop anymore (because it has access to enough memory for the first time since Oblivion) Its still buggy as. Mind you thát when most deveIopers make gamés this buggy, peopIe rage at thém, its like béthesda gets a frée pass from mány people because théir bugs are só bad they aré actually funny. Can you even take deep-seeded RPG mechanics from something like that and simply place them within Unreal or CryEngine Your right, the bugs have gotten too old by this point. The engines yóu mentioned are gréat for relatively simpIe games. I always wondéred if the fairIy laggy performance óf Ark ón high end machinés was down tó the fáct its thé first game óf that sort óf depth scale buiIt on Unreal téch. Unreal in particuIar is one óf the most moIdable engines around, néxt to Source. Also, Deep-Seeded isnt how Id describe the RPG mechanics in FO4. Hell no, théyve been getting simpIer with ever ygamé, theyve been chánging with every gamé, theyre not déep seated and lm sure they cán change them ágain in a différent engine. I think thé real kickér is their módding tools, porting thát to a différent engine will probabIy be the biggést challenge.
